I work with clients experiencing hair loss from medical conditions, helping each individual obtain medically appropriate cranial prostheses/medical wigs while assisting with insurance documentation.

My Story

My name is Tequila Neal, and I am the founder of U-Cranial Prosthetics LLC, a Charlotte, North Carolina–based company dedicated to helping individuals experiencing medical hair loss regain confidence, comfort, and a renewed sense of self.

I am a Certified Cranial Prosthesis Specialist, but my journey to this profession began long before I entered the cranial prosthetics industry.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health Management and a Master of Science in Health Administration, and I have over 15 years of experience in medical management and healthcare administration. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with major healthcare insurance organizations, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, and Third-Party Administrators, (TPA's).

My professional experience has given me extensive knowledge in benefit verifications, claims processing, appeals, medical documentation, pre-determinations, patient advocacy, patient assistance programs, practice management, and many other areas of healthcare administration.

That experience has become an important part of who I am today because I understand that healthcare is not only about treatment—it is also about education, communication, advocacy, and helping people navigate systems that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

How My Journey Began

My journey into this hair industry began in 2021, when I founded U-Part Sensations LLC.

Through U-Part Sensations, I specialized in creating custom U-part wigs and full wig units while also providing education and training in wig construction. This business allowed me to combine my creativity, technical skills, attention to detail, and passion for helping people feel confident in their appearance.

At the time, I did not realize that what I was building was quietly guiding me toward my true calling.

As I continued working with hair and clients, I began to recognize that there was a much deeper need among individuals experiencing medical hair loss. For many people, hair loss is not simply about losing hair. It can affect confidence, identity, emotional well-being, and how someone sees themselves.

I wanted to be part of the solution!

I wanted to create an experience where people could receive more than a hair unit. I wanted them to receive education, personalized solutions, compassion, advocacy, and support.

That vision ultimately led me to establish U-Cranial Prosthetics LLC in 2026.

Why I Chose Cranial Prosthetics

For me, cranial prosthetics is about so much more than hair.

I understand that every person who experiences medical hair loss has a unique story. Some may be dealing with a medical diagnosis or treatment. Others may have lived with hair loss for years.

Regardless of how they arrived at this point, I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

What I find most rewarding about being a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist is knowing that I can make a meaningful difference in someone's life.

There is something incredibly powerful about seeing a client look in the mirror and begin to recognize themselves again.

That moment matters to me.

My goal is not simply to help someone find a cranial prosthesis. My goal is to help them find a solution that feels comfortable, natural, personal, and empowering.

My Healthcare Background Makes A Difference

One of the things that makes my approach different is the combination of my healthcare administration background and my experience in hair and wig customization.

I understand the beauty side of the process, but I also understand the healthcare side.

I know that navigating insurance benefits, medical documentation, claims, appeals, pre-determinations, and coverage requirements can be confusing. Because of my professional background, I am passionate about helping clients better understand these processes and advocating for them whenever possible.

I want my clients to feel informed—not intimidated.

I want them to understand their options and feel confident asking questions about their care and coverage.

Most importantly, I want them to know that they have someone in their corner.

My Mission

My mission is simple:

To educate. To advocate. To empower. To restore confidence.

I believe that individuals experiencing medical hair loss deserve access to compassionate, knowledgeable, and personalized cranial prosthetic services.

I also believe that education is empowerment.

My role is to educate my clients about their options, provide personalized solutions, advocate for insurance coverage when applicable, and help increase awareness about cranial prosthetic services as an important resource for individuals experiencing medical hair loss.

Every client comes to me with a different story, different needs, and different hopes for what life after hair loss can look like.

I respect that.

I take the time to listen because I believe the best solutions begin with understanding the person—not simply the hair loss.

My Vision for U-Cranial Prosthetics

My vision is to become a trusted leader in cranial prosthetic services, while helping individuals experiencing medical hair loss move forward with confidence, hope, knowledge, and renewed self-esteem.

I want U-Cranial Prosthetics to be more than a place where someone receives a cranial prosthesis.

I want it to be a place where people feel seen, heard, respected, educated, and supported.

I want to help change the way people think about medical hair loss and bring greater awareness to the role cranial prosthetics can play in someone's overall quality of life.

I also want to use my healthcare and insurance experience to help clients better understand a part of the process that is often overlooked: advocating for access and coverage.

Why This Work Matters to Me

When I look back at my journey—from healthcare administration, to working with insurance and patient advocacy, to founding U-Part Sensations LLC in 2021, and ultimately establishing U-Cranial Prosthetics LLC in 2026—I can see how every chapter prepared me for where I am today.

I did not simply stumble into cranial prosthetics.

I built my way to it.

Every experience taught me something. My healthcare career taught me how to advocate. My education taught me how to understand healthcare systems. My entrepreneurial journey taught me how to create and serve. My experience with hair taught me the importance of customization, craftsmanship, and confidence.

Today, I bring all of those experiences together to serve individuals who are navigating medical hair loss.

I know that restoring someone's appearance can be meaningful.

But helping someone feel like themselves again?

That is priceless to me.

This is more than what I do.

This is why I do it.

Welcome to U-Cranial Prosthetics!

I am honored to be part of your journey, and I look forward to helping you move forward with confidence, comfort, and hope.
